Below you'll meet the dedicated volunteers who serve as your elected officers and Precinct Committeemen. Together, they represent communities across Valley County while working to advance Republican principles, support local candidates, and strengthen grassroots involvement.

Carrie Potter is an Idaho native, business owner, and community leader passionate about serving Valley County. As Chair of the Valley County Republican Central Committee and a Valley County Planning & Zoning Commissioner, she promotes conservative values, transparent government, and active citizen involvement. Carrie enjoys the outdoors with her family and is dedicated to preserving the freedoms and quality of life that make Idaho such a special place to call home.

Josh Hurley is a native Idahoan who serves as the Valley County Republican State Committeeman. Josh brings a deep commitment to public service shaped by his diverse background as a former Idaho State Trooper, Pastor, Dean of Students and Community School Coordinator. Today, he is a Cascade local business owner who operates a non-profit mentorship organization focused on equipping the next generation with practical skills and real-world opportunities. Guided by his multi-faceted leadership experience, Josh actively champions preserving individual liberty, fiscal responsibility, and the traditional family values that keep Idaho strong, free, and thriving for future generations.

Kirsten McSherry serves as Valley County’s State Committeewoman and is passionate about protecting the values, freedoms, and way of life that make Idaho worth fighting for. Her involvement in Republican politics grew out of a belief that strong communities require people willing to step forward, speak clearly, and do the hard work behind the scenes—not simply watch from the sidelines. That conviction led her into campaign leadership, grassroots organizing, and continued service within the Republican Party. Kirsten is committed to strengthening the conservative movement in Valley County, supporting principled candidates, engaging new voters, and ensuring local Republicans have a strong voice at the state level. She believes the future of the Republican Party depends on courage, conviction, and ordinary people being willing to get involved when it matters most.

Megan Lawler serves as the Valley County Republican Central Committee's State Youth Committeewoman. An athletic trainer in rural Idaho, she is passionate about community involvement, preserving access to recreation, developing future conservative leaders, and encouraging civic engagement. Megan is committed to advancing constitutional principles, grassroots leadership, and a strong future for the Republican Party in Idaho.

Ralph Thier currently serves as Vice Chair of the Valley County Republican Central Committee and brings years of Republican Party experience to the role. His involvement began with a legislative fellowship in Washington, D.C., followed by work on Republican campaigns and Lincoln Day events. He has served as a delegate to six Idaho GOP conventions, participated in an Idaho legislative study group, and previously served as the Committee’s State Committeeman. Ralph is also an Air Force RC-135 aircrew veteran and a retired USDA entomologist who served in New Mexico, Idaho, Utah, and Washington, D.C. He later worked as the Western Issues Specialist for the National Association of Conservation Districts. His broad experience brings organization, perspective, and spirited debate to the Committee.

Ellen is a retired Financial Advisor and has had the pleasure of living in Valley County for 7 years. She has been a PC for 4 years and enjoys serving the Cascade Precinct. In addition to VCRCC she has served on the executive boards of both the Valley County Republican Women and the Idaho Federation of Republican Women. She is also kept busy as the Great Grandmother of two active boys.

Brad Beaman resides in Donnelly with his family and currently serves as Treasurer of the VCRCC. He remains active in the Party and has served as a delegate a number of times for the IDGOP conventions. You will see him at many local events including fund raisers and parades. Brad is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minor in Business. Brad has served on many boards and committees and remains quick to offer a hand.

Kelly Copperi serves as the Alpha Precinct Committee Woman. Her background as a 911 Emergency Communications Officer dedicating 28 years to Valley County, she has been committed to serving the community and upholding conservative values. Passionate about constitutional principles and family, she actively supports local initiatives that strengthen community ties. She has strong beliefs in fiscal responsibility, individual liberties, and the promotion of a strong national defense, she believes in traditional Republican values that foster a safe, strong and prosperous society.

I am a proud wife, mother of three, and physician assistant who is grateful to call this community home. Caring for others has always been at the heart of what I do, both professionally and personally. I enjoy spending time outdoors, love animals, and value the friendships and connections that make our community special. Faith, family, and freedom are the foundation of my life and the principles that guide my decisions. I would be honored to serve the Roseberry Precinct as your Precinct Committeeman, representing our neighbors with integrity, respect, and a commitment to preserving the values we share.

Wayne is a longtime Valley County resident who has been actively involved in McCall-area civic and Republican Party leadership. Since the 2020 primary, he has been elected four times to represent Republicans in the McCall Precinct and has also served as Caucus Captain for the Presidential Republican Primary in the McCall and Payette Precincts. Wayne previously served for 10 years as a Director and Vice President of the McCall Men’s Club at the Municipal Golf Course and most recently chaired the 250 YR-1776 celebration at Banyans by the Green. He has also run for McCall City Council and remains committed to responsible local leadership and supporting qualified Republican candidates for public office.

Tim Deinhard has deep roots in Valley County, where he attended the one-room school outside Lake Fork as a child and continues a family legacy dating back to his grandfather, William “Bill” Deinhard, who supported the community beginning in the 1930s. Tim has cared for his family’s McCall ranch since 1987 and returned to Valley County full-time after retiring in 2015. Passionate about preserving the conservative way of life that makes Valley County special, Tim has been active with the Valley County Republican Central Committee since 2020 and welcomes residents to share their thoughts and concerns with him at [email protected].

Pam currently serves as Precinct Committeeman for West Mountain Precinct and brings decades of Republican Party experience to the VCRCC. She has served as a Precinct Committeeman, Legislative District Chairman, and both Vice Chairman and Chairman of the VCRCC. She was twice selected to serve on the IDGOP Financial Review Committee and was honored as the IDGOP Most Valuable Republican Worker. Pam has also served the Idaho Federation of Republican Women, including as Congressional District 1 Director and IFRW Program Chairman. Earlier in her career, she worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. for two Idaho
Republican Senators. Her years of service have strengthened her commitment to keeping Valley County residents informed, engaged, and involved in advancing Republican principles and electing strong Republican leaders.
